WEST PHILADELPHIA ORCHESTRA
reasons mad dragon should sign WPO:
band has a completely unique vibe and lineup, with an already dedicated fanbase that overlaps with some of the other Mad Dragon folk artists
local act that plays around the city, DIY mentality that Mad Dragon can expand and grow upon
incredibly talented and well respected in the Philadelphia scene
previous collaborations with other Philly artists, including Dr. Dog
havent released an album in two years, so lots of new material we could release
blogs love WPO!
have performed in notable Philly venues including Kimmel Center, Khyber, and North Star

looking for a great blog focused on local Philly music? love Y-Rock and WXPN but looking for more info on the bands played? tired of checking your Facebook page? then check out The Key-a killer blog run by WXPN that bring you news about local venues, artists, bands, and shows. edited by Matthew Borlick, former member of Q and Not U, there is always a ton of amazing features and reviews to check out!

CONGRATS WKDU! during last week’s CMJ Music Marathon, WKDU, Drexel’s radio station, won both Station of the Year and Biggest Champion of The Local Scene! As a kdu Dj, Philly music fan, and a local artist, I think these awards are totally rad and an awesome recognition to a deserving station. Congrats to all the execs and djs-and thanks to the fans and listeners for making these awards possible!

local act Spinning Leaves performing at Big Jar Books-lay back and let Michael and Barbara’s sweet voices drift you away. seriously chill folk music, calling to mind the greats from the sixties, but still perfect for present day autumn in Philadelphia.
